I am a member short for a first team match. Can I use a second team member for it then let them go back to the seconds?
No in short and there are no exceptions .

I cant find a dressage judge??!?!?
Go to the British dressage website... Go to training and judging... then go to find a judge!

Is the trophy dressage league test the same as for Championships?
Yes

Do we have to use the same venue for training as competition?
No, you just need to make sure that you don't have the same competition venue as another team in your league

I have just found out that our AU has only entered a Champs team and our second team want to compete. Is this possible?
Maybe. You need to get in touch with BUSA asap. If there is a space in a league we will try and fit you in. If there is no space we will not be moving people around to get you in. Sorry.

Do we have to have a competition before Christmas?
Yes

Can we have all our league matchs before Christmas?
Yes if you really want to

Go to documents and click on the team contacts link.

I haven't heard from other teams in my league and Ihave emailed them lots of times!

Are there Regionals for Trophy?
Yes

We have weight limits on some of our horses for the match. Is that a problem?
No, so long as you tell everyone!

Does it matter what time we start our match?
No, so long as you tell everyone!

We are struggling to get a match date within the deadline can we hold it after?
Basically no but drop us an email and we will consider each case individually

Can I ride a horse I used to own/compete for someone outside student riding?
No unless it was more than 5 years ago.

Someone has dropped out of the A team. Can I replace them with someone from the B's and recruit for the B team space?
Yes. Same goes for the B team.

Does BUSA refund teams fuel costs for any matches?
No. All expenses should be covered by the team, the AU or your society budget.

Can I use someone random for just one match?
If you think they will help the team carry on. Just bear in mind that with individuals that it is them personally that earn the place at Nationals so dropping someone for one match may affect their chances of qualifying individually.

Can an A team rider in 0708 ride on the B team in 0809?
Yes

Look at the Regionals page!

Our venue is flooded/under snow etc - what do we do?
Rearrange the match and check the new date is Ok with everyone.

Can a home team demonstrate horses at the home match?
Yesif no-one else is available and they don't demonstrate the horses they are competing on.

I am in a 3 team league. Does the winning team still get 4 points?
Yes

What do I do with eliminated riders?
Give them the worst penalties of the phase (of all horses not just theirs) and add 30 penalties

Who qualifies for Regionals?
Winning team in each league only for Trophy. Winning team and top 2 individuals in each league for Championships.
